As members of this community and a young family were always looking for things to do. Every year our Unknown Haunt crew puts on a show for the community in order to raise proceeds which we provide to what we feel our local communities need that year. For instance, 2025 we bought needy families Thanksgiving meals during the government shut down. However, you can find more about that on our FB.
This event came about because WE, our family and our volunteers, rarely get to enjoy results of our hardwork. And this event, if successful, can help us treat the good people that make up this team while also giving the community another unique experience.
To call it a Zombie Prom or Monster Mash would be too simple. Plus in many places they have been known to be 21+ aged events. Well, we are having the Prom aspect given the Costume Ball so be sure to come costumed to impress. However, earlier in the evening before that kicks off were going to have time designated for kids and families to enjoy music, meet costumed characters, play horror-inspired carnival games at their leisure, a costume contest with multiple categories, a spooky dance-off contest, and a kids craft area/tent. [This tent area will also be available later in the evening, if adults with kids decide to hang around late, need one of our attending ghouls to watch the kiddo while they take a few minutes to do a dance or compete themselves.]
As we finish with the last of the kid's Costume contest by 730pm and enter closer to 8 pm we will kick-off the 2nd stage of the event with the Costume Ball. At this point there will be multiple chances throughout the night to win prizes and be entered into giveaways by means of Horror Trivia. We will also hold the Adult's Best Costume Contest and the Best Couples Costume Contest. But note, it wont all be a constant rave, there will be some blood-curdling slow songs to dance to with your favorite Zombabe or Guyghoul.
***NOTE*** Costume Coverage & Content Guidelines: We encourage everyone to get creative and have fun with their costumes! To help keep this event welcoming and family-friendly, please follow these guidelines:
